Press release
Jimmy Klayton Lauder has been sentenced to eight years in prison for the house fire he set while his wife and little children slept inside.
Judge Brian E. Warren of the 209th District Court sentenced Jimmy Klayton Lauder on the 1st Degree Felony Charge of Arson Monday afternoon after two days of testimony from witnesses.
“You are very lucky your ex-wife and your two children did not die that night and the state isn’t seeking to execute you,” said Judge Warren. “You lit a fire in your house and almost burned your four-year-old and two-year-old to death and almost killed your ex-wife. I find you guilty and sentence you to eight years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.”

The family of Lindsey Yanchek had hired Dolcefino Consulting to make sure justice was done in a county too often known for soft on crime sentences. The family asked us to issue a statement on their behalf.
“A family was destroyed, and no one won today,” said Dolcefino Consulting President Wayne Dolcefino. “There had to be consequences for such an evil act. It is justice. We must hold people who commit violent acts accountable. The Judge did what he had to do.”
