Press release

Jimmy Klayton Lauder now admits he set his Houston house on fire while his wife and two little children were inside. Friday morning, October 2nd, we will find out his fate.

For nearly two years Dolcefino Consulting has watched the case closely as the family of the victims seek justice from Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg.

“Everyone in Houston should be paying attention to this case. Protecting crime victims is what Kim Ogg said she was going to do when she was in office. Instead, she has given get out of jail free cards to so many criminals,” said Wayne Dolcefino, President of Dolcefino Consulting.

“The District Attorney owes this family justice.”

Jimmy K Lauder, 31, has agreed to plead guilty to the arson at his home while his family was inside, but he refuses to take responsibility for the additional crime of endangering a family member. The family demands the District Attorney fight to send Lauder to prison.

“It is my wish that we get justice and that he gets the time that he deserves for the crime that he’s done and for the pain and suffering that he has put our family through,” said Tessie Fraysur, mother of Lauder’s now ex-wife, during a press conference in February of 2019. The fire was set in December of 2018—that is how long this family has waited for justice.

Kim Ogg has come under fire recently for her soft on crime tactics and has been criticized by former prosecutors for putting politics before justice. Just this week she was dealt another embarrassment as a judge dismissed the criminal case against Arkema executives. There were allegations of prosecutorial misconduct and other ethical violations by the DA’s office in the case.

At 9 a.m. on October 2nd, 2020, Judge Brian E. Warren will set punishment on arson charges. The hearing will be held virtually in the 209th Criminal Court.
