Interstellar is the most pirated movie of 2015, according to piracy tracking company Excipio.
According to Excipio, Interstellar was illegally downloaded 47 million times between January 1st and December 25.
That beats the figure for 2014 list-topper, the Wolf of Wall Street, which was downloaded 30 million times.
All of 2015 top 10 most pirated movies had over 30 million downloads, Excipio said.

- Fast & Furious 7 – 44.7 million
- Avengers: Age of Ultron – 41.6 million
- Jurassic World – 36.9 million
- Max: Fury Road – 36.4 million
- American Sniper – 33.9 million
- Fifty Shades of Grey – 32.1 million
- The Hobbit: Battle Of The Five Armies – 31.6 million
- Terminator: Genesis – 31 million
- Kingsman: The Secret Service – 30.9 million
Separate research from the news site TorrentFreak indicated that Game of Thrones was the most pirated TV show for the fourth year in a row.
The HBO drama was downloaded an estimated 14.4 million times via BitTorrent – up from eight million times last year
That does not include illegal online streaming or file-hosting services, TorrentFreak said, meaning total piracy numbers would be higher.
The news may surprise some, given the rise of subscription video on demand services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime.
According to Excipio, Brazil was responsible for the most illegal film downloads in 2015, followed by Russia, China and India.
The US was positioned fifth, down from third in 2014.
