Dolores O’Riordan arrested at Shannon airport
The Cranberries lead singer Dolores O’Riordan has been arrested following an alleged double assault on a flight from New York to Shannon, Ireland.
Dolores O’Riordan was detained after an air hostess was reportedly attacked on an Aer Lingus flight on November 10.
Irish police were called to meet the aircraft and during the course of the arrest, a policeman was also assaulted.
The air hostess was taken to hospital but the officer was not seriously hurt.
The flight, from JFK Airport, landed at Shannon at about 05:30 GMT.
A police spokesman said a woman in her early 40s was being questioned at Shannon Garda (police) station.
The Aer Lingus staff member was brought to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick for treatment.
