Britney Spears breaks up with David Lucado after video shows him cheating on her

Britney Spears and David Lucado have split up after 18 months of dating, Us Weekly reported.

The news comes just months after the couple battled breakup rumors.

Britney Spears took to Twitter herself on August 27 and shared the news with world, tweeting: “Ahhhh the single life!”

The singer told Entertainment Tonight during happier times last year: “I’m in love. I like the fact that he’s very stubborn and he’s stuck in his ways. He’s just a simple man. I adore him.”

Britney Spears, the mom to Sean, 8, and Jayden, 7, first stepped out with David Lucado in March 2013, shortly after calling off her engagement to Jason Trawick.

She was previously married to Kevin Federline.

Britney Spears has stayed mum as to the reason for the breakup, but a source tells E! News that she called it quits because of an alleged video that shows David Lucado cheating on her.

Apparently, the video shows David Lucado making out with another woman and dancing with her in what appears to be someone’s living room.

Allegedly, the video was taken in early August when Britney Spears and David Lucado were very much together.
