Kanye West turns himself in to LAPD for battery charges
Kanye West turned himself in to LAPD on Thursday to be formally booked in connection to his misdemeanor battery case involving photographer Daniel Ramos at Los Angeles International Airport last year.
Kanye West, 36, was booked at the LAPD’s Hollywood Division station Thursday afternoon in a process that took less than an hour.
The singer was recently sentenced to two years of probation in the case and was required to turn himself in for booking. He pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery and was also ordered to perform 250 hours of community service and undergo 30 days of anger management counseling.
The incident took place on July 19 when Kanye West was accused of attacking a photographer, trying to wrestle the camera away from him.
