Christina Aguilera is pregnant with her second child, Us Weekly reported.

The happy news comes nearly a week after Christina Aguilera, 32, announced her engagement to Matt Rutler, her boyfriend of three years.

Production assistant Matt Rutler had been plotting a proposal before Christina Aguilera discovered the baby news.

The pregnancy “wasn’t expected, but it also wasn’t unwelcome. They are all very excited though! Christina loves being a mom,” a source told Us Weekly.

The baby-to-be will join big brother Max, Christina Aguilera’s 6-year-old with ex-husband Jordan Bratman.

A second insider reveals that Matt Rutler had been “working on the ring for over a year,” and was hatching his proposal plan for several months, finally popping the question two days before Valentine’s Day.
