Philip Seymour Hoffman will be digitally recreated for at least one scene in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, according to the New York Post.
Philip Seymour Hoffman, who died last week at the age of 46, played gamesmaker Plutarch Heavensbee in the film.
He had only a week left of filming for the franchise’s final film when he died of an apparent overdose on Sunday.
Instead of rewriting the script, the film’s editors will use computer effects and camera tricks to digitally insert Philip Seymour into at least one major emotional scene, according to New York Post’s Page Six.
“You can do digital things, you can have conversations where you’re not focusing on him but the people he’s talking to,” a source tied to the films told The Hollywood Reporter.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 will be released in November 2014.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 is set for November 2015.

So, there are no actors in Hollywood that they have to create a digital Hoffman? If that can be done, why don’t they do all acting roles that way and save millions on the actors’ salaries and the overall cost of making a movie? Jeeezz, it’s a no-brainer!
