Mariah Carey tweeted a photo from her hospital bed on Tuesday after dislocating her shoulder over the weekend following an accident on the set of her new music video clip.
In the photo, Mariah Carey, 43, appears to be sighing with disappointment over the ordeal, but her spirits later appeared raised by her new fashionable accessory – a silky sling.
“…dislocated my shoulder on the remix video with Jeezy, sporting a very fashionable sling for the next couple of weeks,” Mariah Carey informed her fans.
While the singer wore a simple tank top in her set-up snap, despite being injured she still managed to find time to put on some giant chandelier earrings and apply a full face of make-up.
Her golden locks were also expertly coiffed into bouncy curls.
Surrounded by various different pieces of hospital equipment, Mariah Carey also appeared as though she had been treated with IV fluid, sporting a bandage in the crook of her arm.
Mariah Carey was hospitalized on Sunday night after she dislocated her shoulder on the set of her new music video.
The singer was rushed to New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery after she took a tumble while filming the video for the remix of her song #Beautiful.
“She was taken to hospital late last night, where doctors reset her shoulder,” Mariah Carey’s spokesperson told the New York Post at the time of the accident.
“She is fine and is recovering at home.”
Mariah Carey was shooting the video – directed by her husband Nick Cannon – at Avenue nightclub in Chelsea in downtown Manhattan.
