Adele welcomes baby boy

Adele and partner Simon Konecki have reportedly welcomed a baby boy on Friday night.

Adele, 24, is said to be “ecstatic” by the baby’s arrival.

A source is quoted as saying: “Adele and Simon are ecstatic at their new arrival.

“She was over the moon that they were expecting their first child together.”

Her spokesman said of Friday night’s reported birth: “We are not releasing a statement at this time. No comment.”

Adele announced her pregnancy back in June, writing on her official blog: “I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together.

“I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx”

Adele and Simon Konecki started dating last summer and moved in together earlier this year. Simon Konecki also has a 5-year-old daughter with his ex-wife Clary Fisher.

She has said of Simon in the past: “He looks after me. I don’t think I’d have got through the recovery from surgery if not for him.”
