Jason Good, a married man from Laurel, Virginia, was caught out by his wife after he used his cell phone to record his mother-in-law taking her clothes off.
Jason Good was charged with a misdemeanor after his wife contacted police to say she had been looking at her husband’s phone when she found a “video of an adult female using the restroom”, an officer said.
The wife was horrified to discover the footage taken at their home was of her 57-year-old mother.
The woman phoned the police department in Henrico County on Sunday morning after finding the tape.
When officers arrived to take a statement from Jason Good’s wife she directed them to “a hole located in the wall between the garage and the bathroom”.
Jason Good, 40, was then interviewed and arrested by officers.
If found guilty, the man could face up to a year in prison or a fine of up to $2,500.
The woman who was filmed does not live with the couple and it is unclear if the incident took place over Thanksgiving, according to thesmokinggun.com.
Lt. Eric Owens, Henrico County Police spokesman, said in a statement that the crime of filming someone undressing was considered a class 1 misdemeanor and was punishable by up to one year in jail.
Eric Owens added Jason Good’s wife discovered the video while looking through her husband’s cell phone. The woman recognized her mother in the video and called police.
