It’s already 2020 in New Zealand – a new decade!

And Auckland has become the world’s first major city to celebrate the start of 2020 with a bang.

The city’s fireworks display erupted from its 328-metre tall Sky Tower as New Zealand enters the New Year.

The huge fireworks have been attended by thousands of watchers.

The iconic Sky Tower has views of Viaduct Harbour, which is full of superyachts and lined with bars and cafes.
