According to police, the 59-year-old actor was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge at the airport.
The police said Judge Reinhold had refused to go through screening. He then resisted a pat-down by the airport security.
However, Judge Reinhold’s lawyer questioned the claim.
Judge Reinhold co-starred in such 1980s movies as Beverly Hills Cop and Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
If found guilty, the actor could pay up to a $500 fine.
Judge Reinhold’s attorney said the actor had successfully passed the TSA scanner and was stopped only after his bag raised an alarm, the Dallas Morning News reports.
The attorney added that Judge Reinhold did not understand why he needed to be searched after he had gone through the scanner without incident.
