Rhonda Adkins files for divorce from Trace Adkins after 16 years of marriage

Rhonda Adkins, Trace Adkins’ third wife, has filed for divorce after 16 years of marriage.

Rhonda Adkins has cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split in documents filed in Tennessee.

Trace and Rhonda Adkins wed in 1997 and have three daughters, aged from 9 to 16.

According to the divorce papers, obtained by TMZ, the country singer and his wife separated on Monday.

Rhonda Adkins is requesting primary residential custody of their three kids, child support and alimony.

The divorce news is the latest blow for Trace Adkins, who lost his father, Aaron, last month, just after he completed a rehab stint for alcoholism, days after becoming embroiled in an altercation with an impersonator onboard a country music fan cruise.

Trace Adkins, 52, had been sober for more than a decade before his relapse.
