Honey Boo Boo’s Christmas lights stolen from McIntyre display

Honey Boo Boo and her family say they aren’t going to let thieves dampen their Christmas display in McIntyre, Georgia.

The family is now using their celebrity status to help needy families.

The Thompson family has been setting up a light display at their home for years – long before they became household names from the show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Visitors are encouraged to donate what they can to help those in the community. This year they’ve already collected 5,000 cans and more than $18,000.

Over the weekend, the family discovered more than 50 bulbs missing from the display. They suspect it was nothing more than souvenir hunters.

Honey Boo Boo’s family vows that the theft won’t stop them from lighting up the city and helping those in need. The display runs through Christmas Eve.
