John Mayer and Katy Perry as official couple at Rolling Stones concert in New Jersey

After months of speculation, Katy Perry was finally heard introducing John Mayer as her “boyfriend” Wednesday night.

And Katy Perry certainly looked like one smitten kitten the following evening as she and John Mayer went on a date to a Rolling Stones concert in New Jersey.

While they were clearly enjoying the music, the couple was more interested in each other.

As well as gazing adoringly at one another, John Mayer was spotted whispering sweet nothings into Katy Perry’s ear.

Katy Perry wore a cute skyline printed top with a patterned blazer for the performance while John Mayer sported a casual jacket and shirt.

After the music, they went backstage to pose for pictures with the show’s child-filled cast, which was precisely the moment when Katy Perry decided to make their pairing official.

“This is my boyfriend John,” Katy Perry told the smiling kids.

According to Us Weekly, a witness then overheard the singer say: “Come on, baby, let’s take a picture.”

The on-off couple seem thrilled to spend their first Christmas together after a brief split in August.

Katy Perry split from ex-husband Russell Brand last December after just 14 months of marriage, and she admitted the experience had made her realize she is the only person who can make herself happy.

Meanwhile, John Mayer has a notorious reputation for loving and leaving some of Hollywood’s most eligible ladies, including Taylor Swift, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, and Jennifer Love-Hewitt.
