The filmmaker said: “When I heard about this crazy idea, I knew I had to be involved.
“I’ve never filmed anything like this in my 30 year career and it’s thanks to Strongbow that we had this great opportunity to mark summer in such an amazing, unique way.
“The surfers were so pumped about getting out there that the energy was electric. It’s one of those sights you have to see to believe and really evokes that summer feeling.”
The glow-in-the-dark surf attempt was part of the cider company Strongbow’s “Welcome to Summer” campaign.
